The Ucluelet Aquarium is centrally located above the intertidal zone next to the promenade. Inside the building is designed around a central saltwater pool that provides underwater viewing of BC's marine life. The majority of the displays are in tanks interconnected by a flexible system of pipes and valves that distribute the salt water from the inlet below. Large windows overlook the Ucluelet Harbour.
