Copper Ridge House

COMPLETED 2025 | 6000 S.F.

Set amongst a grove of twisting arbutus trees on a rocky rise above the Saanich Inlet, the home is positioned to take in ocean views while maintaining the open, quiet character of the surrounding meadow. The home is defined by its gentle, curvilinear plan and roof form, which elegantly weave the structure through the landscape rather than dominate it. Inside, the home is anchored by a monumental, tapered stone fireplace that contrasts with the lightness of the timber ceiling. A rhythmic series of radial Douglas fir beams guide the eye outward through floor-to-ceiling glass, dissolving the boundary between the warm interior and the terrace beyond. An infinity pool reaches to the edge of the steep hillside, looking out over the Inlet far below.
