Situated across the lake from the intact forest of the Green Mountains National Forest, the owners wanted their home to explore organic geometry, containing living room, dining, den, and office in a circular gathering space. Using a hybrid construction, the home is a combination of heavy timber post and beam and conventional framing adapted into the sloping site. The home is a center for family living. It is filled with surprise, with joyful, colorful accents. And each fall, surrounding the house, the forests explode with color.
